How does the food preservation method prevent food spoilage?
Dehydration prevents food spoilage be draining all the water or moisture content out of the food. This makes the food last longer, as the moisture and water create bacteria, fungus and mold and of course, with out the water all of the bacteria dies. This food preservation method does not completely stop the growth of microorganisms, it slows them down. Food will always eventually spoil, that is why it is best to conduct monthly examinations of any dehydrated food to see if any moisture or water has reached the food. If so then it advised to dehydrate the food again.
